Alberta Open 2020- CANCELLED
Dear Water Polo Fans.
It is with a heavy heart that we need to cancel the John Csikos Alberta Open.
The Alberta Chief Health Minister had a press conference at 3:30pm March 12th 2020 where she ‘Urged to cancel all gatherings of more than 250 people.’ LINK
The Holiday Inn, our host hotel has a flexible cancellation policy.
West Jet and Air Canada have waived their cancellation fees.
Your safety is our priority and hope you all stay well and see you at the 2021 Alberta Open.

We are excited to invite your team to attend the John Ciskos Alberta Open being held March 19-22th 2020 in Calgary!
This season we will be introducing for the first time Water Polo 4’s (WP4’s) for our 17U and Open categories. This style of play is immerging all around the world and is officially recognized by FINA as ‘beach polo’. It was promoted at the international level during the FINA World Championship this past summer. This new format consisting of 3 field players and a goalie is an exciting, fast paced game. A smaller field of play, smaller goals, continuous play and several modified rules make this a game for all ages.
For the 17U category -this is for non NCL athletes unless you are born 2006 (14U athlete)/ all the other NCL athletes (2004-05) can play in the Open category.
